Home for Elders, we value the importance of family connections and social engagement for the well-being of our residents. Our Visitors & Family Policy ensures a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for both residents and their loved ones.
1. Visiting Hours & Guidelines
✔ General Visiting Hours: Daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
✔ Extended Visits: Special arrangements can be made for visits outside regular hours with prior approval from management.
✔ Quiet Hours: To ensure rest for all residents, visits after 8:00 PM are discouraged unless in exceptional circumstances.
2. Check-In & Security Procedures
✔ All visitors must check in at the front desk and provide identification before entering the facility.
✔ A visitor badge must be worn at all times while inside the premises.
✔ Visitors must respect privacy rules and avoid entering restricted areas without permission.
3. Health & Safety Regulations
✔ Visitors who are feeling unwell or have symptoms of contagious illnesses (such as fever, cough, or flu) are advised not to visit to protect the health of residents.
✔ Hand sanitizers are available at entrances and must be used before and after visits.
✔ Smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances are strictly prohibited within the facility.
✔ Pets may be allowed for visits upon prior approval and must meet health and vaccination requirements.
4. Interaction & Conduct Expectations
✔ Visitors must respect all residents, staff, and other guests at all times.
✔ Conversations should be kind, supportive, and positive to maintain a peaceful environment.
✔ Disruptive behavior, loud noises, or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
✔ Photography or video recording of residents and staff is not allowed without prior consent.
5. Special Arrangements for Residents with Specific Needs
✔ Family members of residents with advanced medical conditions may request private visitations in designated areas.
✔ Residents receiving palliative or end-of-life care may have unrestricted visiting hours with approval.
✔ Staff assistance is available for residents with mobility issues to facilitate their interaction with visitors.
6. Family Involvement & Participation
✔ Families are encouraged to take part in community events, celebrations, and activities organized by the facility.
✔ Regular family meetings and feedback sessions are conducted to discuss residents’ well-being and address concerns.
✔ Family members can volunteer in facility activities to enhance the residents’ social experience.
7. Emergency & Exceptional Circumstances
✔ In case of a medical emergency, visitors may be required to leave the area for safety reasons.
✔ If there is an outbreak of infectious diseases, visitation policies may be temporarily modified for the protection of all residents.
✔ The management reserves the right to deny or restrict visitation to any individual who poses a risk to residents or disrupts the facility’s peace.
